I've had it!!! Who pegged Bill Clinton as "Bubba?" Talk about fucking elitism!!!
So, Barack is an "elitist" because of his bitter remark? FUCK YOU, Gang Of hyPocrites!!! When rural-poor Bill Clinton beat President George H. "My-Summer-Home-is-in-Kennebunkport" W. Bush, who was it that started calling The Big Dog, "Bubba?"

Dictionary: bubba
n. Slang.
1) Chiefly Southern U.S. Brother.
2) A white working-class man of the southern United States, stereotypically regarded as uneducated and gregarious with his peers.

Yeah, it was the fucking Repubs, that's who. The very Repubs who worshiped elitism in the guise of George H. W. Bush while showing contempt for rural-poor Bill Clinton, who now claim Obama is an "elitist."

So a big FUCK YOU to the hypocrites of the Republican Party.

As Popeye might say, "That's all I can stand, I can't stands no more!" :grr:

A great big FUCK YOU to everyone who confuses the many definitions of "elitist".

One can be an elitist in attitude because they are wealthy and think everyone else is below them... this is the only definition you guys seem to "cling" to!

The elitist definition, as used in the context that Clinton was using, is an idealistic and emotional one... this has NOTHING to do with wealth!

This has to do with someone saying when things are rough, people cling to their religion. And when it gets rougher still, they cling to guns.

I think that although this is true, it's probably not the nicest thing to say about people from whom you are trying to get votes.

4. I agree with the spirit of your post, but as to "Bubba"
I saw an interview with Bill Clinton in the last several years (sorry, no clue who did it, maybe 60 minutes), and when asked which nickname he hated he said "slick willy." When asked which was his favorite it was Bubba.

As long as we're ranting, how about the press calling B.C. "slick willy" and "teflon Bill!!!! but nothing like that for the GOP" Not one person affiliated with this administration has been held accountable for anything. Why aren't we hearing "Slippery George" or "Slimey Dick Cheney"... well I guess I can understand the second one.
