Randi Rhodes (born Randi Buten on January 28, 1968 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American progressive talk radio personality, formerly featured on Air America Radio and currently featured on Nova M Radio. Her eponymous program, The Randi Rhodes Show, airs live Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm Eastern Time.

On April 9, 2008, Air America Radio CEO Charlie Kireker issued a press release stating that Rhodes was leaving the network, in the aftermath of an indefinite suspension following a live appearance in San Francisco in which she made obscene references to U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former Congresswoman and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro.<1><2> Radio station KKGN in San Francisco, California, one of the affiliates carrying her program, immediately announced it would continue airing her show.<3>

On April 10, 2008, Nova M Radio announced Rhodes would join its radio network, and on April 14, 2008 the Randi Rhodes show returned to the airwaves.<4>

James Randi (born August 7, 1928)<1> (stage name The Amazing Randi) is a stage magician and scientific skeptic best known as a challenger of paranormal claims and pseudoscience. Born Randall James Hamilton Zwinge,<1> in Toronto, Ontario in Canada, Randi is the founder of the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF). Randi began his career as a magician, but then began investigating paranormal claims. Although often referred to as a "debunker", Randi rejects that title, describing himself as an "investigator".<2> He has written about the paranormal, skepticism, and the history of magic. He was a frequent guest on the The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and is occasionally featured on the television program Penn & Teller: Bullshit!.

The JREF sponsors the famous million dollar challenge offering a prize of US $1,000,000 to anyone who can demonstrate evidence of any paranormal, supernatural or occult power or event, under test conditions agreed to by both parties. As of this time, no one has claimed this prize.
