Fox hired Megyn Kelly because she understands ‘left bias.’»

Megyn Kelly is the co-anchor of Fox’s daytime news program “America’s Newsroom.” In a profile in today’s Washington Post, Howard Kurtz explains why Brit Hume – Fox’s Washington managing editor – why he hired Kelly:

“Here is this woman who was strikingly attractive but has tremendous air presence and a very strong voice,” Hume says. “We were knocked out. It was screamingly obvious that this was someone with tremendous potential.”

What’s more, says Hume, “she seemed to get what we’ve talked about with ‘fair and balanced news’ … She came in believing there was a left bias in the news. That’s not common.” He quickly created an opening for her...http://thinkprogress.org/2008/04/14/fox-hired-megyn-kelly-because-she-understands-%e2%80%98left-bias%e2%80%99/

Yep. The media is owned by gazillionaires, how could it not have a 'left bias'?

I don't have to include one of these :sarcasm:, do I?

1. A lie repeated often enough becomes fact in the minds of the oblivious
War is peace. Slavery is freedom. There is a liberal bias in the media.

Colbert hit that one in the ghoulies when he spoke in front of commander Zippynuts.

3. "Understands left-bias"? She must be a smokin' hottie if FAUX is willing to hire her.
Wow. She must have been last month's Playboy centerfold if they are coming up with excuses to hire someone who understands liberals!

8. no no.. She "understands that there's liberal bias in the media"
Which (apparently in Fox's peculiar alternative universe) makes her "unusual". .

7. "She came in believing there was a left bias in the news"
That's objective.

Ya know, I don't care what a reporter "believes". Objectivity and a desire to find the truth (not fairness, not balance) is what is important in a reporter, at least to me.

What this tells me is that this "co-anchor" is more subject to propaganda. Brit Hume ought to be ashamed, but that ain't gonna happen.

16. I think what he meant to say was ...
She was willing to sell her immortal soul for a career in cable TV propaganda. At least that's how I took it.

19. Why do you think it is that faux news has so many attractive women as news persons?
I think it is to attract the viewers. Like putting a pretty woman in any ad you get instant male interest.

A funny picture keeps occurring in my mind. Freepers sitting in mom's basement watching faux news with their pants down around their ankles.
