a few more hours. Bob Vesely of the Queen radio was a true friend to Mike, and this is a wonderful tribute. Mike, at his anti-Iraq-War anti-PNAC speech in April, 1973 at an anti-war rally in Volunteer Park in Seattle, which played at the start of this tribute, was my first discovery that anyone at all on the media was telling anything close to the truth. I became a regular listener. That led me not only to find his voice on KIRO, but also to discover online voicess such as Malloy, Werbe and Hartmann on the UAW channel IEAmerica. And so on. I owe him, not only for the words he spoke, but for the voices he helped me discover.
Veseley, consistent with his DJ mindset, is focusing more on Mike's DJ work than I would have, but that is also very much a part of what mattered to Mike.
Such a loss. And hard, as you say, to hear without feeling that loss. I took a long break, too, but want to encourage others to give a listen. Not just all politics always, but celebrating life, jutsice, peace and music always.
