3. He had talked to Castro about JFK assassination
and Castro sending doctors to New Orleans which he agreed with.
It is a interesting interview.

7. Jesse said that Castro said it was a CIA hit
and talked to him about 25 mins about it when he brought it up.
It is in Jesse's new book.

12. Re Castro's comments on JFK:
Jesse Ventura gave a few details of his sit-down talk with Fidel Castro:

On the JFK assassination, Castro said that the Russians (who he was close with at the time) had said of JFK that he was 'a man you could talk to.'

Castro said the assassination was an 'internal' operation. He said that if he himself had had anything to do with it, Cuba would have been destroyed. 'Do I look suicidal? No, I love my country.'

Castro said that Oswald 'couldn't make the shot.'

All of this is in Ventura's book, Don't Start the Revolution Without Me.

No matter what you think of Castro, he'd be fascinating as hell to talk to.

much blocked Americans hearing anything Castro had to say ---

9. I thought he was honest more than most politicians
Didn't agree with him on about half of his stuff but he was not
a bullshiter. Maybe, I'm wrong since I didn't have him as Gov.

10. yeah, that would sum it up overall
My impression was the DFL and GOP were dysfunctional and getting nothing done in the legislature, so having a 3rd party Governor actually helped. When I was working for the state and the employees union went on strike that was another matter...

15. that's just the thing: he was an insuffrerable bullshitter.
he was always in it for himself -- in every goddamn thing he did.
i will post more later.
but i have to say......he did a lot more damage than good.
the people that worked under him as mayor of brooklyn park gave a good glimpse of the kind of governor was: he was hated and feared, and that's how he wanted it.

dumb as a brick, too.

25. OK, later tonight.
but try this:

in his cleverly titled book, "ain't got time to...blah, blah...'

he tells of "a horde" of reporters harassing his wife as she came out of church during one of his manufactured crises.
oh, my the "jackals" had her in tears! she had to flee the heartless bastards.

not quite..

there was ONE reporter, a woman from the Star Tribune, who asked her politely if they could talk., She said OK, they went in and sat down and they had the interview. the reporter was prepared to take a hike if she said no.

the man continually rewrote the facts to suit his own interests.

and for all his talk about a third party representing the middle, what did he ever do to promote a third party? What's he done since he left office?
did he ever have a fundraiser?? did he ever make an appearance on behalf of a struggling Independence Party candidate>?

well...

then there were the times he offered to take it outside with one of his Brooklyn Park City Council Colleagues...

and ask somebody why there was a massive exodus of city employees. as why the police chief, city manager and city development director all fled before half his term was up. Most of these city employees vowed never to work for him again.....

what i said before?
I take it back.

he was just a sanctimonious, self-centered asshole.

26. not too long after he was elected governor...
...he agreed to meet with the state's top union officials....he immediately started ripping them for not endorsing him, when he was only union member in the race.....which was fine until the president of the state AFL-CIO pointed out that Ventura held some views just a little at odds with most union members...such as his opposition to minimum wage laws...

he said it on a number of occasions....."So if an employer can get people to work for .75 cents an hour, that's OK?"
he said that's OK.

I'm just getting started.

When someone steps up with that kind of bluster, I expect that they do so with the full ability so back it up.

I look forward to more.

28. Ironic that given he was about the only guy during the WWF's heyday
Back in the 80's, to try and start a wrestler's union. Of course Hogan ratted him out to management and he was fired

11. I just heard him interviewed at another site. He talked about
how when he became Governor, he was summoned to Washington and was interrogated by the CIA, and how his phones were tapped. The CIA seems to have denied it until recently.

He also believes that Bldg. 7 of the WTC was a controlled demolition. When he was in the armed services, he worked with explosives.

And Thom works for AAR. Schultz works for Jones Radio.

So, Thom is free to NYC's AAR. Schultz isn't.
