The morons in Missouri have decided its okay for kids as young as six to beat the shit out of each other in cage matches.

The clip of that kid slamming another kid down on his neck makes me sick.

I've been a long time supporter of mixed martial arts but it is a sport for the topped ranked professional athletes in the world, not children.

pros train for years, they spend hours a day focusing on conditioning and developing their bodies to not just throw a punch or a kick, but to toughen their tendons and ligaments, build to withstand the punishment of these events. they know how to properly fight and how long it take to recover and what kind of damage can be taken without permanently harming them.

this is wrong, I'm sick of the ultimate fallout from this crap. local fight clubs aren't even doing it right because the big teams and amateurs all have had access to proper trainers, conditioning, and dieticians to help them develop themselves.

the problem with using big gloves and even head gear is something that was discussed years ago in ultimate fighting. when using padded gloves or head gear, you're bouncing the persons head around with all kinds of damage being done to their brain and brain stem. so a punch that might be a vicious knock out if you were bare handed or wearing the full contact gloves is softened at the impact, but not when their head is still being bounced around. so fights go on longer and have more long term consequences. these kids are probably already getting the neurological effects happening to them, that one kid seem a lil slow. at that age it won't take much slamming around to detach their brain stem while they're wearing head gear. this should be stopped and banned NOW.
