Just a few things I'd like to hear a Dem say during the Presidential primaries
Moderator: Senators, how will you handle taxes?

Sen McCain: "blah blah blah, Tax and Spend Democrats, blah blah blah."

Democratic Candidate's response: "I'd like to respond first to the esteemed but ancient Senator's comment about the Democratic Party being the "Tax and Spend" party. Because of the GOP's tax cuts for the rich, which were pushed through a Republican Congress, with the backing of a Republican pResident, all but the richest Americans are paying MORE in taxes. Property taxes, fuel taxes, sales taxes, virtually all taxes have been raised to make up for the shortfall in revenue that was caused by the tax cuts for the rich. These are taxes that effect normal Americans every day. As far as spending, the Republican Congress and pResidency of 2001 inherited a surplus and a balanced budget. Eight years later the deficit during the current Republican pResident's term has been the largest in history. Our debt under the current Republican administration is also the largest in history. So it looks to me that the real "tax and spend" party is the party of the current administration, the Republican party."

Moderator: "What about the deficit?"

McCain: "Blah blah blah Democrats are for Big Government blah blah blah."

Democratic Candidate's response: "I would like to take this opportunity to educate our very senior Senator about the largest governments in the history of the world. The single largest government in history is the current Republican administration. The record for the largest government before this one was that of Ronald Reagan, a Republican, and the next largest was that of George H W Bush. The smallest government of the last 30 years was that of Bill Clinton, a Democrat. So it appears that the party of big government is truly the Republican party."

Moderator: "The Iraq war has been going on for five years now. What's in the future concerning Iraq?"

McCain: "blah blah blah Democrats are soft on Defense blah blah blah."

Democratic Candidate's response: "There you go again, old man, distorting historical facts. The fact is, and you of all people should know this, is the wars that have been instigated during Republican administrations, ie Vietnam and Iraq, haven't gone so well. In fact we lost Vietnam and we've pretty much lost Iraq. But World War II, the war that your party hails as a just war fought by the "greatest generation" was fought during a Democratic administration. So the Democratic Party won the big one and you guys have a history of losing. So who are you going to go with- winners or losers?"

I know, it's a gross exageration but you know damn well that McCain will be throwing Big Government and Tax and Spend Dems and Soft on Defense around during the debates. Just once I'd like to see a Dem get mad and put an end to the frames that the "Republics" have used so successfully. These frames are all based on lies but we let them get away with it.

2. Your sentences may be too long for Presidential debate rules.
