2. Yup. That's what the preemption doctrine did. I remember Clark in a debate

calling on all candidates in congress to pass legislation making this illegal...Washington Post erased this from the transcript....Good for Hersh...
As for those of you sponsoring this horror - "oops" doesn't begin to cover what you've done!

3. I'll have to listen to this or get a transcript later...
Saw Hersh on CNN this weekend talking about this...and, yes, it was absolutely chilling.

I'll agree this was one of the worst pieces of legislation ever...right up there with the Military Commissions Act.

5. Yep.
Name one piece of legislation passed by the BushCo congress that should NOT be repealed in toto.

7. I was listening too intently. I backed up into a car behind me. Luckily, no damage.
BUT YES, it was an AMAZING interview. I was surprised to hear him say he thought our military could handle Iran because any attack would be by air. Um...would we have to worry about retaliation on our troops in Iraq? He said every branch was against the surge except the air force. Don't quote me here, this is by memory, and as stated above, I was driving and pre-occupied. I try to see if a transcript is available later.
