Does the UN have rules preventing a country from changing its name too frequently?

If governments of five countries organized and agreed that each would change its name every year, then would professors of history and political science keep up with the changes and know which name to use depending on what year was being discussed?

3. You mean like when countries get married?

Some countries have well-known names, and don't want to lose that name recognition when they get married. Canada's real name is Rebecca Forsythe, for instance-- but all the stationary still says "Canada".
