Peak Oil and Glen Beck
I was leafing through Glen Beck's book at the store the other day for laughs. He has a whole chapter on Peak Oil, and how it is one of the biggest problems we face. Who knew?

I admit I don't know much about this topic, but he sure put a scare into me.

2. I only posted because . . .
I thought I'd seen posts on DU about peak oil being a huge problem. And I thought to myself, "Beck agrees with DU?"

6. Here's my blog--
the peak oil concept is not based on political ideology. All parties should be concerned with peak oil. Follow all the links on my blog and you'll understand more!

3. I'll bet you were at the Dollar Store.

... and that's how much it was selling for.

Books by the RW Hatemongers like Beck and Coultergeist and O'Lielly usually end up there because nobody wants to read their lying trash.

10. but you didn't read the chapter--maybe his point is that it is a problem
Edited on Mon Mar-17-08 03:25 PM by orleans
because we're not drilling in anwr or because our troops aren't getting enough oil out of iraq yet.

either way--he's still a deck and should not be on cnn

13. Not at all
He said the biggest concern was that we have an almost entirely oil-based world. So he isn't advocating drilling for more oil as a permanent solution because it is not feasible in the long-term. Although he does advocate more coal to give us additional time to find solutions. In my few minutes of perusing, he seems to advocate more nuclear power, and he champions American ingenuity in coming up with new and better ways to create better forms of energy.

Seemed like a rational explanation of a serious problem.
