The text of Bush's speech to the economic Club...hold your stomach
there's so much to ridicule here.I'll start:
"You know, when I was overseas in the Middle East, people said, did you talk to the King of Saudi about oil prices? Of course I did. I reminded him two things: One, you better be careful about affecting markets -- reminding him that oil is fungible; even though we get most of our oil, by the way, from Canada and Mexico, oil is fungible."

FUNGIBLE?
according to Dictionary.com,fungible:

1. (Law) Freely exchangeable for or replaceable by another of like nature or kind in the satisfaction of an obligation.
2. Interchangeable.

more to follow,if I can stomach it.

1. as in
Wheat and corn are fungible commodities,
as are oil and lumber... except that
oil doesn't grow back.

So exactly is oil supposed to be replaceable
with, I wonder? Ethanol made from the
fungible commodity corn that now in short
supply and very expensive as food? But
that's ok because it's fungible enough to
be replaced with wheat.. but wait.. there
are problems with the wheat supply too,
due to weather extremes and inconsistencies
that have caused wheat crops to fail.

And on and on.. ad nauseum.
