Gibson Loses 'Big Story' Gig At Fox News

Tinkering with its early evening lineup for the first time in eight years, Fox News Channel has replaced the John Gibson-hosted "The Big Story" indefinitely.

The news was first reported by the blog TVNewser.com and the New York Times.

Fox confirmed this week that "America's Election HQ," which temporarily displaced "The Big Story" last month in the 5 p.m. ET slot, would continue indefinitely.

14. It's actually been covered pretty well here. Wonder if he'll spend more time in his bathtub.

I say that because Gibby is responsible for spreading a story that back when he and Keith Olbermann used to work at MSNBC, and Keith was so sickened by the Lewinsky crap that he didn't want to have to discuss it on his show for yet another night, he'd call in sick and hide in his bathtub at home, forcing Gibby to substitute host in his place.

No one's ever been able to prove this is true, but Gibson has made such hay out of the claim that all of Olbermann's wingnut haters routinely refer to Keith as "Bathtub Boy."

Well, I guess Gibby can take some nice leisurely baths of his own now.

Perhaps Bill O'Reilly gave him a going-away loofah.
