2. There have been much bigger falls than this.
This is a reaction to the reality that the economy is slowing down. A recession is likely later this year and into 2008.

It's about time. There has been no true justification of the market being so high.
It should fall back into the 11K range.

The P/E ratio for the S&P 500 now stands at about 15.3, below the historical average of 15.68 since 1935.
