How do Bushbots/Freepers, etc., believe Americans should support

the war, the escalation, etc., yet I'm sure none of them want a draft?
It seems to me if someone believes the war is necessary, s/he would think a draft is necessary too. (Please note, this is NOT what I believe. I don't think the Iraq War was/is necessary.)

Anybody who's been brave enough to check on Free Rep. to know about that? Or know it from real life?

1. Freeper's "support for the troops"

I do lurk there from time to time because it's good to know what the bad guys are up to. From what I have read, their "support" for the troops is mostly magnetic yellow ribbons and clouds of hot air. As far as I can tell, there has been no tangible support. They may briefly mention supporting for the troops and then usually go into freeper default mode which is bashing Democrats.

They didn't have much on the Walter Reed thing the last time I was there, but I'm sure they will find a way to blame that on Democrats too. There are some seriously warped individuals in freeper land.

2. how they'll spin Walter Reed

they will use it like they did Katrina - as evidence that the government is not capable of helping people, that bureaucracy got in the way, etc. This they will tie to the necks of "Big Government DemoncRATS" or something equally ignorant.

Keep in mind, I am not saying they will be honest about it in the least, but attack lies are par for that course.

3. It is all a fantasy

Someone else will step up and enlist. Someone else will pay the price. Probably someone poor and non-white. Certainly not the rightfull rulers of the world! :sarcasm:

I just don't think that they think about it. If Bushco says it will happen, well, then, that is enough for them. Blind loyalty, unquestioning obediance in Bushco is their definition of "patriotism". Everything is perfect in that world, even if "perfection" canges day to day or hour to hour. It is so becuase Rush and Fox tell them it is.

It's ironic, because they always say things like "liberals just want their handouts" etc. Yet they are constantly asking for the government to subsidize their gas addiction.
