It's short and angry, but it has to be one of her best ever!

Eliot Spitzer's Whores

A Pictorial Tour of The Emperor's Club Ladies

Our secret Internet operative "Jake" has sent us screen shots from the Emperor's Club VIP's website. The Emperor's Club, of course, is the "prostitution ring" that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer allegedly penetrated with his sex bits. Let's see if it was worth $5,500 dollars an hour (and his governorship/career/family etc etc)....

2. This quote is funny...
From the comment section over there:

"Why can't Dems be like fiscally conservative Republicans and simply blow people in restrooms for $5?"

5. She was the editor of the site published by Gawker Media,
was more of a publishing business venture than it may have appeared to be.

6. Wow, that's weird, here's the Washington Post "End of Wonkette" article

Wonkette's Sex Change

By Amy Argetsinger and Roxanne Roberts
Wednesday, January 4, 2006; Page C01

Wonkette is dead -- long live Wonkette.

Ana Marie Cox, the writer who made Washington politics irresistibly naughty, is giving up her job as a full-time, pajama-clad blogger to become a full-time, pajama-clad author. Cox, who just signed a contract for her second book, will hand off the political Web site to David Lat, the lawyer who secretly penned Underneath Their Robes, an irreverent blog about the judiciary world....

7. what about their faces?
Are their faces hidden to protect their *privacy*, or are their actual faces not important?

Talk about being reduced to sex parts, way to REALLY de-humanize the sex worker.

8. Yes, to protect their privacy.
I kinda thought that would be obvious.
And I am so sure they were forced to pose like that at the point of a gun.
If a guy is shopping for a hooker, then he wants to see what her body looks like. Whether you agree or not, it is a business. It makes sense to present it like that.
If the ladies did not agree about being posed like that, I am sure they were free to leave. At $5500 an hour, I am sure it wasn't a huge argument either way, especially as attractive as these ladies are.
I would also think that hiding their faces suggests that they company itself valued (PAST TENSE) privacy, thus assuring their often high-profile clients the same.
Of course that has been blown out of the water, now. But I am sure many other such businesses operate the same.
The number of high-class hookers that have eventually turned "civilian" and married in elite circles is probably larger than any of us guesses. It would be embarrassing for them and their high-profile spouses for an old website to crop up again at a later date.

It's just common sense for those people that choose to run the business, and those sex workers that choose to participate.

I'm just a stripper, and you will be hard pressed to find a picture of my face ANYWHERE on the internet. Even after all my other info is pretty readily available. It always pays to be cautious like that.

21. It's for "privacy" in this up-tight country we call America, that and because it's a crime...
...to prostitute yourself in this country, so to show their faces would be like an open invitation for the Police to arrest them.

I assume, though, that the wording on the profiles were carefully written on a site like that, so it would probably be difficult convict anyone by what's on the website alone, but with the way the MSM Sharks swarm to stories like this, a full facial picture on a website would probably ruin the woman's (and her famous client's) life.

If you want to see how this sort of thing is done in other country's, do as is suggested in on of the Wonkette replies and Google the words "London Escorts," most of those have faces, but they don't charge nearly as much either, though I'm not sure that matters. (Note: not a "Work Safe" thing to do, unless you are "The Boss")

Btw, as a Buddhist, I don't have a problem with Prostitution. Buddhist, as The Dalai Lama has pointed out himself, believe that it's O.K. as long as it's the woman who is the one offering herself and that you pay her directly without a middleman or Pimp.

13. You can get nicely proportioned hookers
for 1/20 of the cost. The extraordinary price-tag is to ensure the clientele is wealthy and to keep the riff-raff out, and to also ensure extra protections in regards to confidentiality (oops) and also disease.
