I have a question: If Spitzer is being threatened with impeachment...
if he doesn't resign as governor after being caught trying to hire a hooker,

WHY DOESN'T CONGRESS IMPEACH BUSH AFTER HE COMMITTED WAR CRIMES AND TREASON?!

God dammit, I hate our Congress. Spineless, gutless worms. All of them.

1. Because Spitzer doesn't work for Wall Street.
Bush does.

If you work for Wall Street, your crimes are forgiven.

If I said my true feelings about Bush and his ilk, I'd get a talking-to by the Secret Service...

8. No, it's not that.
I just didn't want to get all the tinfoilhat responses. But screw it, I'll just say it.

I think they're being threatened. Weapons-grade anthrax, anyone?

11. They never did catch the anthrax guy, didn't they?

I'll put on a tinfoil hat with ya.

Yeah, judging by the quality of the anthrax in those envelopes, it was an inside job.

7. See, if an elected official has sex outside of marriage
they can be impeached. But if a selected official commits war crimes and treason, it's ok. We just can't have anyone doing the nasty thing. Killing is all right, but sex is taboo. The bar was set with Clinton. If he would have had non white people killed just because they're non white people, then he would have been a hero. But he got a blow job from a much younger woman who wasn't his wife, so he had to go. Same with Spitzer. If he had killed some Muslims in NYC, he'd be a great man. Hell, I'm convinced that if he'd had sex with a young boy it may have been ok with some segments of the republican party. But not with a woman.

10. Probably because most members of Congress do not believe that Bush committed war crimes or treason

13. Who are they to believe...
Once they look at the evidence, shall they believe Bush's cronies or their own lying eyes?

14. So, you believe that the problem is that they are just unaware of the evidence?

16. More like "unaware" of the evidence...
Either willfully ignorant, or complicit.

15. Two reasons:
1. Congress and the NY legislature are not the same thing.
2. Spitzer is in clear and flagrant violation of the law. Bush has largely been smart enough to cover his tracks; the Plame investigation only led to Scooter Libby getting nailed with obstruction of justice.
