WASHINGTON - In a brazen move signaling a callous disregard for human rights, President Bush today vetoed the 2008 Intelligence Authorization Act largely due to a provision that would have applied the Army Field Manual (AFM) on Interrogations to all government agencies, including the CIA. The AFM, which currently applies only to the Department of Defense, prohibits specific acts of torture and abuse, including waterboarding, and specifically authorizes an array of time-tested interrogation methods. 1. Don't Just Admire Them, Send Them A Donation
The CCR and the ACLU are fighting like hell to save what's left of our Constitution. You can't trust the Dems when they help pass the Patriot Act, etc. etc.

So please send both groups a donation. Don't send all your cash to candidates.

BTW - I recently updated my family will to include an education trust for my grandson. Both the ACLU Foundation and CCR are also beneficiaries, along with the AFSC. Think about it - you can't take it with you. :-}
