An open letter to that likeable doormat, Mika Brzezinski
Mika, stop letting them walk all over you.

On the morning of February 21st you were on the air with your partner, Joe Scarborough, political gadfly Pat Buchanan, and misogynist extraordinaire, Chris Matthews. Other NBC personalities, David Gregory and Tim Russert both bounced in and out of the conversation. They were bloviating on and on abut the John McCain presser. They had little to say beyond speculation and innuendo and surmise.

Through all this, I could hear you trying over and over to get a word in edgewise.

Every time you tried, they just stepped on you and kept on going, as if you didn't matter. They treated you like an insignificant bit of window dressing and fluff, not a serious person with serious opinions.

Look, **I** know you have a mind and **I** know you have serious opinions and **I** know you know more than they do.

Stand up for yourself. I know you know how.

Your admirer,
Stinky

2. Reminds me of Eleanor Clift with the McLaughlin group. She has to
practically scream to be heard.... Mika needs to become more assertive, good post.

6. YES. This is why the political caucus system discourages female participation. nt

10. LOL! Caucuses are democratic poetry!
At my caucus, I stood on a chair, and told my story about how I
came to know candidate Obama.

Caucuses are opportunities to let your voice be heard!

Contrary to the ill-informed and exaggerated, unsubstantiated
tales from some kind of caucusing hell that only exists in
the imaginations of those who don't know better---caucuses are
democracy in action.

At the very least--you have the patriotic opportunity to stand
for your candidate of choice and be counted. No need to give
a speech or say anything. You can just stand and be counted, if
that's your pleasure.

On the other hand, if you want to jump in the ring and speak your
mind, you are allowed to do that, as well. It is a safe, diplomatic,
wonderful way support your candidate.

Caucuses are overseen by a Precinct Chair, and several precinct captains, as
well as "independent" witnesses who ensure that the process is fair.

After our caucus, I took pictures of the vote counts with my digital
camera. Talk about ensured accuracy! The vote counts are posted
publicly within a half hour. Transparent and public.

America needs more of this! Please make sure that if you are
commenting on caucuses, that you are disseminating accurate information!

:)

11. LOL! Please don't project your experience onto that of others...
women are more likely to bend to their husband's wishes than the other way around. Men are eight times more likely to ask for pay raises, etc.
A majority of voters, women are not a majority of caucus goers.

The caucus process has its virtues, but it does not accurately reflect the voting population.

3. She is a Huckabee supporter ("cheerleader"). I saw her recently tell
Huckabee that she has not thrown down her pom-poms when he said that "he was not quitting until his cheerleaders threw down their pom-poms".

4. Mika was pretty much calling BS on the NYT
She pointed out that the whole source for the NYT story was two unnamed former staff members and that the story's foundation was a couple of quotes that "we did what we could to keep her from seeing McCain"

It's a pretty weak story to begin with and unless the sources are willing to out themselves to scrutiny it's going to die pretty damn quick.

9. You don't think the NYT has the real names, and have verified the story? Please.
And Mika B. knows this; she's just blowing smoke at US.

5. She's not acting like a doormat this morning
but rather like a shill for McCain. She went after David Gregory when he said it wasn't their place to question the Times motives.
