Say it ain't so: Google goes to the dark side
Guess who’s attending the 2008 Republican National Convention? That is, besides McCain, Rush, and all the other GOP devotees.

Google! Yes, Google. The company is serving as the convention’s Official Innovation Provider, said convention president and CEO Maria Cino. The announcement was, very appropriately, first made on the convention’s own YouTube channel, and later followed with a press release published on the organization’s main website.

The relationship Google will have with the GOP is to be purely technical, of course. No partisanism to speak of. (As it should be.) According to the description laid out by the convention’s organizers, Google will “enhance the GOP’s online presence with new applications, search tools, and interactive video.” Google will also employ its “proven online marketing techniques” to spread the reach of the GOPs message to as large a virtual audience as it can gather in September.

not much more but here's link:

1. It's business
Do you really expect businesses to tell the RNC to shove it. Yea, it sounds nice but it ain't gonna happen. The Republican's make money off everybody, let google earn some from them.

6. RE:
You do realize that dogpile is a meta search engine, meaning that it has no search algorithm of its own and receives its results from Google primarily. Dogpile pays a fee to Google to do this. You would still be using Google as your search engine, just through a different interface...

7. Ask.com is worth a try
They have an eraser you can turn on, to remove history of any sites you have visited. But Agent Mike says you have nothing to worry about if you haven't done anything wrong.

11. You can use the Google search engine without leaving tracks
in their database through http://www.scroogle.org/cgi-bin/scraper.htm (Or go to www.scroogle.org and click on the link for Scroogle Scraper). Scroogle.org acts as your proxy and submits the search request to Google on your behalf using their own IP address and returns the results to you. Just beware that if you are showing Grandma or the kiddies how to use the new computer, and you mistype scroogle.com instead of scroogle.org, scroogle.com is a porn site. About their Google searches, www.Scroogle.org says, "we don't use cookies, we don't save search terms and logs are deleted within 48 hrs."

Of course I am only going by the information provided by Scroogle on their web site. It could all be a plot by Agent Mike and his pals to have the terrorists and DU's terrorist sympathizers put all their searches for incriminating stuff like "do-it-yourselfers guide to homebuilt nukes" and "flying 767s for dummies" through scroogle where they would be easier to monitor.
