2. If we allow telecoms to be sued, they will no longer help protect America
the senate has passed a "good bill" and have shown that spying on Americans is not a "partisan issue"

Fussing on the House..."they have not passed a good bill"

8. The Dems just passed it in the Senate, and the Prez got what he wanted, including immunity
Here is the link:

We need to know the names of the Dems who voted for it so we can oust them. Can someone figure out the Senate Bill number so we can see who voted for it. Turns out that some Repugs voted against it, which means a good amount of Dems did vote for it.

19. Not Stabenow again!
The day she voted for the torture bill, the Michigan Dems called me asking for money, and I told them "not this time, today isn't a good day for you to be asking" and I went into details as to why. What the hell is up with her? She always seems to be one of the few to go along with the Republicans.

when people start disappearing mysteriously in the night because they said something they weren't supposed to say. Truly disgusting, I hope those Telecom companies screw this regime good, you never know.

14. Bush is sweating bullets. He is sooo worried about jail time. FELON!
Vacuuming up all fiber optic communications and sending them to points unknown, where we have no constitution protections, is at least a felony.

It certainly is the sort of impeachable offense America will not tolerate, if they ever realize the gravity of the violations of their Constitutional rights.

And, once they realize the President is above the law, the rule of law breaks down to all force and no respect.

17. Hard to respect a rule of law that is applied so unevenly
More especially when the constant refrain is "No one is above the law"....when clearly there are those who are above the law.

I know the thinking (for some) is that the govt. is, somehow, different...exampled by the " in light of his/her years of public service" argument used as a mitigating factor for breaking the public trust...which I think is BS.

There's also the thinking that the people can't handle a President going to prison...that it would shatter their faith in government...like all the corruption, criminality, and enabling isn't already doing just that.

You can't go around saying no one is above the law and then allow a President to get away with crimes. People will notice the lie.
