U.K pirates could have Internet access stopped
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=326779

The U.K government is considering cutting internet access to people who illegally download music and movies.

A draft paper has suggested that internet service providers would be required to report users who access pirated material.

A three strikes rule would then be instituted, in which users would receive an e-mail warning, suspension, and termination of their internet service.

I'm fascinated to watch how the UK keeps putting more and more restrictions on their people
6 million people denied the Internet would be interesting to see

2. Canada went the exact opposite way
A federal judge in Ontario ruled its perfectly fine to download whatever you want from the internet; looks like there's some hope in the free world somewhere.

6. Well, we have to pay that levy for blank media.
It's supposed to make sure that musicians, etc. get compensation.

3. And how would that work, when they park their ass at Starbucks using the
computer they bought off the want ads for cash?

Hotspots are becoming the routine in big cities. Some places are "wired for free."

Idiotic. Empty threats.

4. What will happen is regular people will lose their internet
the pirates will tap into other peoples bandwidth and get them in trouble. No doubt.
