The Stark County Sheriff�s Office is presently reviewing booking statistics from 2007.

In 2007 there were 11,767 inmates booked into the Stark County jail on various charges. This is 675 more than in 2006. Our average daily population was 455.

In 1988 the Stark County Sheriff�s Office booked 5,607 inmates into the jail, an increase of 110% in 19 years.

With the addition of the new wing and 122 jail beds, the Judges in Stark County continue to efficiently manage the jail population and the Jail staff continues to deal with the ever-increasing number of offenders.

The Stark County Sheriff�s Office would like to offer an open invitation to anyone or group of individuals that would like to tour the facilities and get a first hand look of how the jail is operated on a daily basis. Those interested may call Diane Eckroate at 330-430-3668. Tours are available from 9am until 3pm, Monday through Friday and also on weekends with special arrangements.
