Best SOTU comment of the night
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 11:06 PM by OzarkDem
Edwards pre-buttal about the SOTU and sad Dem response...

"And the president will walk into the Congress, to the United States House of Representatives, and he'll give a speech about his stimulus plan to try to stimulate the economy.

"And you know what'll happen is he'll go in there and the Congress - who kinda quit listening to him a while back - but they'll all stand up, cheer, clap. You know, the truth is that Washington is out of touch with what's happening here in the real world."

2. Edwards "gets" it
Being out of the senate a while has given him good perspective, very valuable.

3. And again I ask....
why don't they just turn their backs on him and be done with it. HE does not deserve respect and for all you out there who say the office does, I agree, so salute the podium and turn your back on the absolute worst president we all have known in our life times...but then Mr. Wuss and Ms Puss would never allow that to happen.

And in the meantime the chimp is thinking....'they like me, they REALLY like me.' BLaaaaACH........

5. They have nothing to lose by opposing him
He's so unpopular as are all of his policies. Common sense would say opposing such an unpopular president would help you gain public support.
