Major labels deny signing deal with QTrax
http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,23121891-1702,00.html

the back story: Yesterday, a company called Qtrax announced they'd reached a deal with four major record labels to make 25 million songs available - for free - to anybody using their proprietary peer-to-peer client, funded by advertising. Sounded suspicious to me then - I was right to be skeptical.

1. We're Talking The RIAA Here
No way in hell would they agree to such an open ended deal. If anything, they'd spam the server with bogus songs, spyware and virus'...and what a quick way for them to trap those who download and mess up their machines in the process.
