Assuming that Bush is not impeached
since he has failed at everything he attempted in life, WTF will he do with the rest of his miserable life?

1. Even if he is impeached (and that IS unlikely) all that means is "Removal from Office"
if he's convicted. It's a form of early retirement. It's legislators saying "We don't like you, you are fired."

So he'd probably get an early start on growing switchgrass to sell biofuels -- one way or another, he WILL be a successful oilman!

2. But but but
he's never been successful at anything except the slaughter of innocents and of course looting taxpayers' money.

14. That is true, and even with some insider help. But if he couldn't "rig the deal"
while he was PretzleDunce, and set it up so he "can't fail" then he will never be able to!

3. That is an "assumption" that is an ironclad certainty.
What will he do? Live in the lap of indolent luxury, of course, systematically abusing people in keeping with whatever his fetishes are, then disappearing them.

He will circulate at cocktail parties with other murderers and monsters, laughing and chucking at human misery.

He will do tremendous amounts of booze and coke.

What would Hitler have done, had he won and retired?

But instead he lost, and with the dying gasp of his regime sent his minions to America to team up withtheir Bushie allies and help prepare the day when Bushies could fufill Hitler's dreams, albeit in a slightly kinder and gentler form.

kinder or gentler than Hitler.

20. Bush has belittled and ostracized most of the cocktail party circuit in D.C.
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 02:00 PM by Virginia Dare
his loyal sycophants will disappear like rats off a ship once he's out of office. His "friends" will be few and far between, excepting the ones he can still afford to pay to keep around.

5. Give (incoherent) speeches for 50K or more
to the idiot 25% ers.

Live off of investments in groups like Blackwater.

Remain in a self-indulgent, self-deluded bubble where "history will prove I was right" - and no one will be let around him to let him know otherwise (like it is now.)

7. He'll get a few cushy jobs on some Boards of Directors
Blackwater, Halliburton, that big Saudi company that used to advertise on CNN (Kingdom Holdings?), etc.

He'll have to show up 4-5 times a year for each and he'll rake in high six figure salaries for each.

8. Live in his "Legacy"
First of all, who said Impeachment won't happen...even if he leaves office? If anything, I see a greater chance of that happening as the crimes are uncovered and no longer stonewalled...indictments and convictions will pile up and the truth will come forward. Eventually we will leave Iraq and people are gonna wanna blame someone for "losing" it...if anything, this may be the final page of that sorrid affair...or, my hopes, in the Hague.

No doubt the right wing will spin its own alternate universe on what happened in the boooosh years and attempt to "Raygunize" things. But I suspect that is years away...as most repugnicans will be glad to be rid of the boooosh/cheney cabal as we are.

I suspect in the end, the manchild will be disgraced...both by contemporaries and history. I doubt any of us will either forget or forgive of what we've endured...and as long as we're around, WE will be his legacy!

Cheers...

15. Can you imagine
having to sit through one of his speeches after he no longer can do anything. I'm sure he'll get paid big bucks to speak, I just find it humorous someone would pay for the insult that is listening to him try to talk. I imagine the stock drop big on any company dump enough to pay him to give a motivational speech.

17. Once the international criminal court issues warrants for war crimes...
I think he's going to spend a lot of time looking over his shoulder. He's got SS protection for life and he'll probably hire a couple dozen Blackwater killers to back them up, but there's always times when you're alone with your thoughts and fears.

I remember when the Mossad kidnapped Eichmann from his hideout in Argentina and brought him back to Israel to stand trial for crimes against humanity and war crimes. He was convicted and hanged.

So there's a nice precedent. If we're not going to do anything about bringing these bastards to justice here, there are more than enough seriously pissed off people around the world who wouldn't mind having 15 minutes with George or Dick or any of a couple dozen Bush Crime Family made men -- preferably in a small cinderblock room with no windows and a door that locks from the inside.

Kidnapping and torturing innocent civilians, attacking sovereign countries who pose no threat, flipping off the world community on global climate change and all other environmental issues, threatening a nuclear strike, destabilizing the various economies by amassing unmanageable debt, imposing twisted fundie morality on the world by defunding population control programs, displaying limitless arrogance, propping up right wing tyrants while actively undermining movements of national liberation, inflicting the war on (some) drugs on all of Latin America...

He's piled up a pretty impressive list of grievances around the world and a lot of people are going to want their turn at payback. So personally, I think he's fucked no matter where he goes. Cheney too. Or at least I can hope.

18. He THINKS he's going to go out speachifying for big bucks..
like his poppy and Clinton do. Of course he'd need to be able to speak in order to do that, another one of the many things he doesn't "get".

21. The best thing about this criminal is that he's young enough
for his past to catch up to him, along with the rest of this gang of cut throats with the exception of dicK and rummy. I look for them to bite down on their cyanide caps when they come for them, but things change, these bastards aren't going to be protected forever, I can see the day coming when they will be held accountable for everything that's happened while they were in control.

22. He looks like hell though, worse than his father..
I think his past will catch up to him in more ways than one, and will the dark lord be able to afford a traveling entourage of cardiologists, even with all of this money? He's likely a goner soon. Not soon enough though.
