This is the big FISA lie.

The Chimp and many DINOs are still trying to convince us that the illegal wiretapping began "following the 9/11 attacks."

But the wiretapping began as soon as the Chimp settled into the White House.

So how the fucking goddamn hell is it that so many Americans can sit still while the Chimp uses the deaths of 3,000+ Americans to sell unrelated immunity for telecom criminals?

How is it that so many elected Democrats are able to do the same?

How is it that the media are so willing to help all of them get away with it?

And how is it that Harry Reid hasn't been run out of town on a rail?

...

You know, one of the most important tools is to be able to figure out the intentions of an enemy that still wants to do us harm. If they're making calls into America, we need to know why they're calling, what they're thinking and what they're planning. We passed the Protect America Act that has aided our efforts to monitor the communications of terrorists and foreign intelligence targets. And I want to thank the -- the good work of the people here to get that bill passed last year.

Unfortunately, the bill is set to expire in seven days. The threat to America does not expire in seven days. (Applause.) The Senate Intelligence Committee completed work last fall on a bipartisan bill that we can support. It may need some tweaks, but it's a good bill in this sense: it will maintain the vital flow of intelligence on terrorist threats, to protect the privacy of Americans while making sure we do not extend those same protections to terrorists overseas; it will provide liability protection to companies now facing billion dollars in lawsuits only because they are believed to have assisted the efforts to defend our nation following the 9/11 attacks.

I'm looking forward to coming before you in Congress and to say as plainly as I can: This bill is important to the security of the United States of America, and the Congress needs to get a good bill to my desk as soon as possible. (Applause.)

1. Were there any legitimate terrorist plots foiled after 9/11?

2. No, the record shows that illegal wiretapping is only good for creating terrorist attacks.

10. It began as early as February 2001, according to...
...court documents describing Qwest CEO Joseph Nacchio's refusal to comply with government "requests" to rat out his customers back in early 2001. This article by Colleen Rowley goes into great detail.

And then the piece of lying shit says AT&T and Verizon and the rest of these poor persecuted companies are on the hook for billions in lawsuits simply because they "...assisted the efforts to defend our nation following the 9/11 attacks."

He also mumbles something like "The threat to America does not expire in seven days." Unfortunately, the most severe threat doesn't expire until next January -- in the event they actually decide to leave -- and, until the clock finally runs out, the threat is imminent, clear and present.

How is it possible that this gang of murderous sociopaths isn't locked up in some max security mental health facility, bound in straitjackets and locked in 8 X 8 padded cells 23 1/2 hours a day? What do you have to do to get busted if you're a made man in the Bush mob?

11. Was the Iraq war used as a diversion to cover up these crimes?
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 07:22 PM by L. Coyote
Like fanning the flames of war with IRAN is a diversion from the crimes of the Iraq war?
