What issues should our Congresspeople and Senators run on?
I know that there will be important local issues that vary from place to place, but what big national issues do you think will be winning issues for any Democratic nominee running for Congress?

Will the DNC use these issues to help the candidates via literature, media spots, etc?

1. The issues were clearly stated in the 2006 election
Look at the polls. The people are angry at Congress regardless of party. They need to change direction but fail to do so.

6. There is clearly a Progressive push in this country
yet Dems ignore it. Edwards could win against McCain in MA.

3. The ECONOMY.
If the Dems don't take advantage of the utter failure of the economy due to deregulation and "free trade" then they don't deserve to call themselves politicians.

4. I'm thinking the economy is the lynchpin
It is something that effects everyone, and if folks are hurting, they will vote for a different direction. But we need to have specifics on how we'll turn things around.
