Contempt citations on hold as Dems, Bush craft stimulus plan
http://rawstory.com/news/2007/Contempt_citations_on_hold_as_Dems_0123.html

Damn this bipartisanship shit.

It just does not ever stop huh?
Just a snip from the article.

Last week it was "pretty certain" that House Democrats would quickly move forward with contempt citations against two Bush administration figures who were stonewalling Congress. Then the economy started circling the drain more quickly.

The planned citations now appear to be on hold as Congress and the White House work on a bipartisan economic stimulus package, the central tenet of which involves cutting virtually everyone an $800 check.

Democratic leaders and aides tell The Politico that pursuing the contempt citations in conjunction with the stimulus package would "step on their message" of bipartisanship.

1. The Democrats in Congress are always looking for an excuse to
get along with the Bush Administration, aren't they?

If they tried as hard to fulfill their oath of office, protect the Constitution, and do what's best for the American people, impeachment proceedings would be well underway.

Now we see in the M$M that Bushco lied almost 1,000 times to Congress, the American people, and the rest of the world in the lead up to the Iraq war. And what is Congress doing about it?

...chirp...chirp...chirp...

I would think lying to Congress and the American people is about as bad as it can possibly get for a President.

IMPEACHMENT NOW, CONGRESS! DO YOUR JOB FOR A CHANGE!!

4. Whatever
Nobody's going to be brought to justice anyway, so we might as well try to avert any economic catastrophe that might be looming out there.

5. I Agree With Them That For The Temporary Time Being, The Economic Issue Is Priority.
This outrage is much ado about nothing, yet I'm well aware that won't stop many from acting all outraged and stuff anyway.
