Thanks to 1000's of calls and emails. All who where in charge of Walter Reed have been dismissed. I can say Thank you to you DU I know allot of you emailed and called. But this Vet is not done. We are demanding that all VA and Military Hospitals be looked at to make sure this never happens again. Again all of you who emailed or called Thank You!

24. Not in this administration
The only buck that stops at the Presidents desk is the kind he can spend in the Whitehouse giftshop. Any other kind of buck, especially an accountability buck goes somewhere else.

In Washington we want a review of the two Veterans who where turned away because they were 2 minutes late and died. The EMT Room have hours cut because of budget cuts. Fort Carson and three others. Sorry had to go look at list Ft D in NJ , Ft Poke, Ft Ord

13. Anyone know if bldg 18 was supposed to have been redone via a contract?
Given the way bushco operates...

It struck me yesterday that in all likelihood some crooked cohort of chimp/cheney probably got a contract to refurbish bldg 18 and then of course never did it and just pocketed the money as is the normal case in this regime
(Halliburton? Brown and Root? One of those guys)

Any thoughts on this? Anyone know?

I have used *the google* on and off this afternoon and haven't found anything but I am still thinking there's more treachery here than what we already know.

25. There is this transcript from the press conference
No names or titles, though.

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2007/Video_Gates_announces_panel_to_inspect_0223.html

Q Mr. Secretary, you talked about accountability. Has anyone in the chain of command offered to resign over these problems?

SEC. GATES: No one. No one has offered to resign at this point.

Q How do you feel about that?

SEC. GATES: Well, first of all, there have been -- we are not going to wait 45 days to begin addressing these problems. And so there have been some people who are most directly involved, who have been relieved. But we will be looking and evaluating the rest of the chain of command as we get more information.
