He has national politician and potential president written all over him. He also doesn't duck from a fight with these criminals. Just my two cents.

1. It will be very HARD for DEMS to lose in 08!
I like WEBB. We need him badly in the Senate. We need ALL our Senators to stay PUT and keep our majority!

Wes Clark is the only real logical answer to an 08 candidate that can WIN!!

If we (meaning DEMS in IOWA mostly) pick another wishy washy candidate (no offense JK) then it will make it very hard. It's not about how much MONEY they have or can bring IN....... it's about CREDIBILITY this time!

GW has proved over and over how much he LACKS any credibility. MANY of the candidates running NOW lack real credibility to be President. I hope the voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada are more WISE than they are lemmings. Just cuz Hillary, Edwards and Obama are NOW front runners doesn't automatically make them credible to lead this country AWAY from the MESSES of this administration! jmo.

Peace and Logic in 08!

3. I don’t know if ‘08 will such and easy win for us democrats.
All the GOP has to do is run with a governor as a candidate. This person would have no finger prints on this war.

If the GOP runs with an outsider who promises (like they always do) to stop gay marriages or reverse Roe v. Wade, along with promising to ‘go back to the basics of the republican party’....they could win.

4. with all due respect to Clark, I don't think he's the only "logical"
candidate that can win. I think we have an enormously talented bunch of candidates of which Clark is one and any one of them is credible as a leader of this country. Certainly a better group than the GOP has. As for the voters of those early states being "more wise" perhaps Gen. Clark shouldn't wait as long as he did to declare his intentions as he did in '04 and certainly shouldn't give a pass to Iowa.

6. I think he's the best in the sense that he's not repellent from the get go to them...
Now, I don't doubt that everyone has skeletons, but this guy seems to be Swiftboat proof so far, Hillary is like a big walking target. And Obama is going to be criticized as too inexperienced, which is also a criticism which will be targeted at Edwards, and he's also repellent to them because he was trial lawyer.

What I think we need to do is come up with a person, even if it should not be Clark, who will almost completely capture the independent vote, as well as "moderate" republicans. Clark, at least looks like a person who could do that.

8. IF he runs at all
I agree he'd never skip Iowa this time.

Some on his main blog seem to think he's going to run.

I've not read or seen anything to convince me he is........ but I very much wish he would. Each of the candidates we have running have some specific and sterling qualities but NONE of them has it all like WES.

ALL of them are sorely lacking in one field or another whether it be foreign affairs experience or credibility or being naive or dumb enough to be convinced to vote for the war in the first place when yahoos like ME saw it coming a mile away and didn't trust it from the GET GO!!!

If my 83 yr old MOM and I smelled a RAT........ I sure think they ALL should have as well. After all they are RIGHT THERE in the MIDST of the Lies and Deceit. What's to keep them from being so stupid next time? I don't trust them.

Of course all of them are light years ahead of the Shrub. But he's not running again. THANK ALL THE GODS AND GODDESSES OF THE UNIVERSE~! lol

2. Heck, I'd like to see him in the mix in '08
He seems like a stand up kind of guy...a patriot more so than a politician.

I would like to see a Feingold/Webb ticket...neither voted for the war, and both have the guts to go against Bush (even before it was popular).
