1. hee hee!
Democratic Party officials estimated their statewide turnout topped 116,000, while Republicans put their numbers at about 45,000.

3. I am beginning to feel encouraged....
...even optimistic that the citizens of this country are beginning to wake up out of the long, drunken stupor of the last eight years. BUT. This momentum and outpouring of activism and participation needs to be sustained through the next 50 years. The only way that happens is if civics is reintroduced with vigor in our school systems.

4. The Republicans haven't been able to motivate voters with the selection of choices they're offering
They're in the process of rearranging their platforms in an attempt to get a fire lite under their base. I hope they remain apathetic all the way through.

7. I hope people keep the motivation up for the next year. Wouldn't it
be lovely to see an election turnout of 75% in November. The GOP wouldn't stand a chance.
