5. I bet that number is half or a third of the Iraq fatalities
I recall an article in 2003 or 2004 that stated that the combat deaths were not counted unless the Troop died in Iraq. Any Troops evacuated to the German hospital, and then stateside that then died were not included in the total number of dead.

A different article stated that those killed by non-combat-related injury (e.g., vehicle accidents) were not counted.

Bottom line....I don't believe any of these numbers coming out of the Pentagon or white house. They are way too low.

I wish I still believed in hell. It would be pleasant thought to know Bush, Cheney, and the rest of the neocon crowd would burn in the flames of hell for eternity.
