Rice: "most people know that a democratic and unified Iraq is here to stay"

http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/01/army_iraq_rice_080115/

<snip>

Rice’s stop in Baghdad is part of President Bush’s tour of the region. She said the continuing progress of U.S. forces working with their Iraqi counterparts will grow into regional cooperation that goes beyond the current focus on security.

“It’s not just a security relationship,” she said. “It’s an economic relationship; it’s a political relationship.”

Rice conceded that the political progress “hasn’t always moved as fast as some of us in Washington would have liked.”

“Yes there is still a lot of work to be done,” she said, but maintained that “most people know that a democratic and unified Iraq is here to stay.”

21. Yes, someone needs to suspend her...
...by her ankles over a freeway.

Just for an hour or so.

Might shake some sense into her.

20. No
Cheney plays the Michael bodyguard. The one who just stands there, menacingly, and never says a word.

And Bill Kristol plays Hyman Roth. A criminal playing a journalist is comparable to a criminal playing a businessman.

9. Most people know that Condi is dangerously unqualified for her job
Well, actually most people don't because they have kept her hidden since her Congressional testimony.

12. asn’t always moved as fast
as some of us in Washington would have liked.

In fact it hasn't moved at all... I said it hasn't moved at all. Tough crowd.

Good to know it's an economic relationship. Because judging by today's economic news... were heading towards Iraq's level of economy and not the other way around. Someone tell Condi the economy is not so good.
