Hillary advisor Sid Blumenthal busted for DUI in New Hampshire.

Nashua police say Sidney Blumenthal (seen here in the preppiest mugshot ever) was arrested early Monday morning after his car was pulled over for traveling 70 mph in a 30 mph zone. Officers smelled alcohol and issued Blumenthal a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was then arrested. Since Sidney's car traveled at such a high rate of speed, he was given an aggravated DWI. Now he's got some aggravation!

When Hillary thought she had this election in the bag, she barely even spoke
to Iowans. Her campaign events were stump speeches and she didn't even talk with
local media.

Then, there was the question planting and her stunning attack on an Iowan who
she accused of being a plant, because he dared to ask her about her pro-warmongering
Kyl/Lieberman vote.

Realizing that "getting real" will secure more votes, Hillary has re-invented her
personality and her style of campaigning.

Blumenthal left his job as a writer for Salon recently to advise the Clinton campaign (and he was a very high profile advisor to Bill Clinton, as well).

I'm a long-time Blumenthal devotee--own every book he's written, read him in Salon and the Guardian. Hell, you can probably find numerous posts of mine here on DU linking to his articles. More than anything, I'm just saddened at what was a hideously bad mistake on his part. I was almost killed by a drunk driver 12 years ago, and I have little tolerance for anybody who gets behind the while after drinking.

I posted it because I thought it deserved attention. If a high-profile advisor for a republican candidate got popped for a DUI, we'd be having a little schadenfreude party in here.
