Looks like we're getting some thunderstorms tonight
It was 71 in upstate NY yesterday and we've been getting some serious sustained wind and gusts for 2 days now.

1. Glad I got lots of snowboarding trips in already!
I've already been out 8 times this season, all but one day have been in excellent powder or packed powder conditions. Just this past weekend, in fact, two different mountains, GREAT snow. Now it's like springtime. Thankfully we have a huge base already built up, cuz it's going to be ccccold again soon so the mountains can start making some of the fake stuff to build it back up. But right now the wind is absolutely howling! 25 mph sustained, with nasty gusts.

Be careful out there!

2. Weather here has been screwy as hell for about 10 years now
Compared to the other 30 I've lived here.

3. Winds clocked at 75 mph here in Rochester this am.
I peeked outside at 5 a.m. and thought I was looking at a hurricane. Kinda scary, but thankfully our block didn't lose power. Winds still gusting up to 55 mph now.

4. Hope you are safe
That's the weather system that came through my neck of the woods a couple days back, spawning several killer tornadoes. It's still gonna be in the low 50s today, which is unusual for early January, even in Arkansas. Global warming, anyone?
