Slain Miami Police Officer was one of the five who arrested me last year
I know this has nothing to do with the primary, but I felt this was important to share because some of you might remember my post last February on me getting arrested after photographing police against their wishes.

My case is still pending as I have yet to go to trial. This morning, one of the cops was killed in a hail of bullets.

I've written about it on my blog.

1. Are you okay? That's a lot to deal with.

brr. I remember when you wrote about the incident.

Rest in Peace, Officer James Walker. It takes physical courage to be in law enforcement, and moral courage to do it right.

4. I read your bolg. I hope your trial goes in your favor.
Yeah, most Police Officers are decent people. Then there are the ones that shouldn't
be in that line of work. I have met both kinds. One thing I learned is that it is not
wise to be overly servile or belligerent &/or hostile when a confrontation with them occurs.

It just shows how dangerous police work can be.

9. There is a chance that they didn't even know he was a cop
He had just gotten off work and had pulled up to the apartment complex of his estranged wife. He wasn't in uniform because he had become a detective in August, which goes to show just how much is happening since my arrest in February.

The latest articles are saying that he may have been killed in a case of mistaken identity or might have pulled into an ongoing dispute.

They arrested a 21-year-old in connection with the shooting.
