You know that when the Brits move out we move in.
That's what has to happen. Our troops are going to have to go into that area in fairly large numbers. Tactically the Basra area is extremely important because most of the supplies for our troops come through there. There isn't a snowballs chance in hell that the Generals are going to leave our logistical situation in the hands of the Iraqi army.
And if a shooting war started with Iran, well......

My question with all this is does Britain KNOW that we are going to go after Iran and want no part of it?
