often on this board what is clearly a legitimate criticism is misinterpreted by others as sexism or racism. It is a wonderful excuse for some.

I know that some people do say the whole, "If you're not with me you're prejudiced" thing, but there's also lots of stuff posted about Obama and Clinton that actually is racist and sexist. And I think it's important to talk about that - how are we going to overcome prejudice if we sweep it under the rug and pretend it isn't there?

Think about the no-win position we're in. Obama is out front, therefore the country (and the party) is nothing but a bunch of misogynist pigs. If, on the other hand, Hillary were out front, it'd be proof that the party's commitment to diversity is only skin deep - we're just a bunch of racists.
