Clinton: Obama, Edwards Given 'Free Ride'
Clinton talking to Sawyer this morning: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Vote2008/Story?id=4099840&page=3

"They can say whatever they want to say, they will anyway but you know they've both been given a free ride this campaign. And if that's what Democrats want to see continue, well then that's the choice of the voters in this election, but I think I'm the best prepared to be the president and commander in chief and I think I'm the best candidate to actually win for the Democrats."

1. Edwards HAS gotten a "free ride" if, by free ride, you mean "free from M$M coverage"
:grr:

2. John Edwards has not gotten a free ride by any means from the MSM,
Wall Street, Big Business, etc. and look at the stuff that came out on Obama from everywhere in the beginning. Hillary has not got a free ride either by any means and unfairly treated at times but she is wrong in saying Edwards and Obama has got one.

3. Hillary was the media darling...inevitable, unstoppable... perfect campaign
until she lost Iowa and is now trailing in New Hampshire.

That is a fact.

Hillary has mismanaged her campaign and her message. The media has pounced on her as a result.

Do they pounce on her more than others who have faltered? Maybe, but remember the dean campaign.

The sad truth is, Hillary needs to retool her campaign staff and message. Don't blame the media for campaign management problems.

4. I think she was referring to the YEARS of being blasted by Rush, Hannity types-
You have to admit, it has been years and it has been cruel.

9. well, Edwards had his last presidential campaign, running with Kerry
and he took more than a few hits. Part of the dynamic affecting the response to Clinton is that she hasn't run at this level before.

... that Edwards was the inevitable Democratic candidate? You don't? Yeah, me either.

Hillary is full of shit.

if she really believes that. It also suggests strange consciousness about her diplomacy with Murdoch(how would you like to see that error on the national scene?) and the rather obvious negative constant the media has and will continue to have toward her. The complaint slides along the side of reality to fall with a thud into exactly where her enemies(not her rivals, her ENEMIES) destined her to be.

The small details, one should note constantly reveal that her mistakes or disagreeable judgments come from making a career that includes the wrong kind of compromise, trusting wrong and being had. That goes very deep, not just into trusting Colin Powell or the "President". In stressful moments the truth really comes out under the words more than the surface meaning. But ALL humans in this situation gripe pretty bitterly, even Jesus Christ.

Yes, she's been picked on and martyred, an icon of GOP manipulation and exploitation. If she really understood that and her duty to party and the nation she wouldn't be complaining about playing into their hand with high road accommodation(where's the steam in that steamroller?)- while slamming her fellow Dems with low road GOP methods(which are ineffective because she is too decent to ever succeed with that now completely criminal methodology).

People get over-critical of her as some Machiavellian goddess of globalization. Mostly it is her blind side that is getting the other guys in the side door, behind her, with knives. In that she has fatal support from like wrong minds in the party.the wake up call is theoretically possible, but in practice, really waking up and "changing" are pretty much doomed when she reveals the faulty vision of things-

and takes it out against her (privileged????) Dem competitors.

11. Good points and message Patrick. Yeah, Hillary's problem I think is
she built her campaign on the big money powers that be, the establishment, lobbyists from big corporations including the health care, pharmaceuticals and one that I will never understand a fund raiser by Rupert Murdoch who is trying to even get a bigger hold on his media empire. What was she going to do for him if she got elected?

She would be better than any republicans but she would not bring change to Washington. It would be more of the same, DC controlled by the same people who have had control for sometime and in the Dem party as well. Washington would operate the same.

17. Murdoch
is a media world criminal in what he is doing, Enronning RW propaganda in global markets, interfering with nations and rights everywhere. Bill might have been suckered into letting Enron get started but this
has all the emotional shock of blinded Oedipus bringing his young children to a strip joint.

18. If she keeps opening her mouth & saying silly things like this...
then she is going to be DONE soon. I don't think voters have any sympathy for this kind of crybaby behavior.
