"Three Americas" Those who rely on Fading Corporate News/Those on the Intenet /Those Asleep"
Edited on Wed Feb-21-07 05:29 PM by KoKo01
Just went to tune into Tweety for the latest Political Trashing and maybe a Schuster update and there's Howard K. Stern trial about something (I guess Little Danny wants to turn MSNBC into Court TV II) and switched to CNN and Blitzer is showing interview with smiling Condi talking about how we have to be tougher on Iran (Yesterday was the expiration date for UN Resolution 17something) that required Iran to give up it's Nukes) and then CNN broke into a Navy Plane or Helicopter that crashed on a Texas Golf Course...then it was back to when are we going to get "tough" with Iran.

So...Anna Nicole/Brittany/Iran.....and no real news reported that's on the "Liberal Internet" or even reported on the AP/Reuters/BBC.

THREE AMERICAS......(stealing from Edwards "Two Americas) but this is what it's become. How the Corporatists who own the Media are stealing from the People and Using the Airwaves for their own Enrichment along with the Government and Military Complex should be the ESSAY of our TIME...... I hope someone writes it soon. We don't have much time left and I pray our Dems will do something about the media sooner rather than later...even if it's not what they want to talk about. :-(

1. Excellent snapshot.

That's like what I observed in a TV-endowed hotel room over here in southern europe, last weekend, as regards US (and, indeed, Brit) TV fluff.

BTW. Apart from http://www.un.org/News/ as a source, as regards the resolution I think you refer to, you may like to start here (but observe above, also): http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/unsc_resolutions06.htm and eventually locate (feeling, meanwhile, all the weight of a manipulated and manipulating bureaucracy) the following: ...

(hang on. nope. (I resort to google) not eg. this one:http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2006/sc8792.doc.htm

NO! You are referring to SECURITY COUNCIL IMPOSES SANCTIONS ON IRAN FOR FAILURE TO HALT URANIUM ENRICHMENT, UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTING RESOLUTION 1737 (2006) - http://www.un.org/News/Press/docs/2006/sc8928.doc.htm

Read, consider, and thank me later. It took me half an hour to ferret this out of such a well-organised web-accesible archive :sarcasm: (not that the UN doesn't (if we'd let them) have plenty of other business to be getting on with...)
) <-- ed. to add closing bracket.

2. I don't understand your consternation regarding the talk of
Iran. We should be talking of this; however, we do need a balance against the White House/Condi's rhetroic.

3. It seemed to me that Condi/CNN were supporting what we hear
about "Strategic Strikes in Iran" and that it's an escalation of WAR..

That's what I heard ...
