I can't help it it. The man speaks like Roosevelt and Truman in these troubled times. Edwards is still the only candidate speaking tough towards outside groups like corporations and such. Let me see Barrack and Hillary do similar. They can't because both have gained money from these which has benefited their campaigns. Only Edwards is left NOT accepting this type of money. Who would you want supporting you in government?

1. Getting better and better

The debates in NH showed that the democrats (with the exception of BR) are getting better and better. Part of this is that they are more skillful generally but also, I think, because they listen to their consultants and take criticism while the republicans seem to be so ego driven that they are going to do it their own particular way. Romney, Thompson and Guilliani keep losing votes everytime they campaign.

Of the democrats Obama, Clinton and Edwards are all growing in stature before our eyes but Edwards just seems to be getting alot more relaxed and comfortable. He is hitting his stride and coming second in Iowa and being ignored by the media will just enhance the reaction that will occur if he continues to get better. This way he will have defeated two superstars with little or no money.

I'd have stayed out of your thread. You didn't. Here's the actual facts: The VAST majority of Obama's campaign funds comes from small donors. And actually, a greater PERCENTAGE of Edwards' campaign bucks come from special interests than Obama's. Hell, trial lawyers gave him about 30% of his total- and damned straight they're a special interest.
