A prediction: Watch for 'em to nail Huckabee with some kinda Dean Scream thing,
bogus or real if he makes any kinda showing in New Hampshire at all. The Ruling Establishment doesn't want him, they're scared of him. "In their guts they know he's nuts." My bet is they'll put a contract out on him--not the fatal kind, but the Dean Scream kind, if it looks like he's going anywhere. He could fall totally on his face in NH. If he doesn't self-destruct before then, watch for the crap to land on the Huckster in South Carolina--the same place they zapped McCain in 2000. Actually, if he were a Democrat, they wouldn't even have to make it up. His coverup for his dog-hanging kid or his release of a rapist would be enough. But, since that's pretty much standard fare for Republicans, it'll have to be something else. A black love-child, maybe.

2. I kinda hope he survives unscathed by anything.
Not that I endorse Huck or anything, but I absolutely love the way he scares the ruling establishment. Huck will do us a favor if he can knock off that corporate slime bag Romney.

None of the others can touch him with that slice of the Republican primary electorate....

4. I certainly understand why you say that, and you may be right.
He might be pretty hard to sink in SC itself, regardless of how many stilettos they put in him. Nevertheless, I predict that's where he'll get the knifing, because they have an incredibly slimy Republican party in that state, who will do the bidding of the RNC. Like, What's the difference between a rat and a SC Republican? There are some things you can't get a rat to do.

6. This May Be Beyond Such Things, Sir
Modern Republicanism is essentially, as well all know, based on an on-going swindle of the people who are now voting for Huckabbee. He is one of them, really and truely, and they know it. Too many of them are in lower operational levels of the Republican party for its organs to be a reliable instrument against him; there are too many of them for a concerted effort to be made against him without producing serious fracture and disenchantment. They have been riding the tiger, and the tiger may now be on top....

8. I agree with your analysis of the leader/follower dichotomy;
one might think of it as the psychopaths and the suckers. But there's something awfully Elmer Gantry-like about Huck. He seems in many ways to straddle the psychopath-sucker division: a flat-earth dinosaur rider who has learned how to slither with the snakes instead of just handling them. That's why he scares the RNC so. I think that's why they will do something to take him out of the game.

11. Your Analysis Of the Reptile In Question Is Astute, Sir
He has the wide, calm eyes of the practiced psycopath at his most ingratiating and manipulative. But to my view, that is just one more reason they may have a hard time actually nobbling him....

12. I do believe you're right, sir. These people pummelled McCain before.
They can and will do it again. As for Mittens and Rudy--they are toast down in SC.

5. He's hanging out with a fundie worth 63 million dollars
who believes that "the rock beat" Huckabee likes to play leads...to question(ing) the absolute moral standards of God.” Maybe they'll make a scandal out of that!

7. Huckabee is armed with an army of Christian Right voters. They will vote for him regardless.
He would have to admit he was gay to make them stop following him.

14. That army is vastly outnumbered by the NON-christian right voters
Edited on Sat Jan-05-08 11:21 AM by rocknation
Huckabee can count on only the "social conservatives" and people who wouldn't vote for a minority or woman under any circumstances.

Yep- I look for something like that in the next couple of weeks. Of course, the Hukster's surrogates seem to have some tricks up their sleeves as well.

They've had the following information for a long time, they being the corporate media and their masters.

They've done nothing with it. So they're giving him a test drive. He's obviously agreed to play ball
of this information would have been used.

But Huck's a strange dude and they'll probably drop the hammer on him soon. He won't go quietly and it
will be very ugly.

Here's what they had since day one plus a pithy summary of Huck's charming embrace of death on a small
and large scale:
