I wept when I listened to Obama's speech tonight on NPR....
Protect him, keep him safe.

He is the future. I realized this sometime ago and tonight was beautiful. Despite the Jackass from NpR saying Obama and Huckabee were very much the same.

I want to follow Barack Obama...I would be proud to say he is President.

Let us not turn our democracy into a "Pakistan-esque" sham that our right wing is all so accepting of.

Protect him. Keep him safe.

22. So journalist3072, is going to support Huckabee, right?
Of course she is! She's still pissed over her idol Tom Joyner picking Obama over Hillary.

Now who needs to grow up?

Hands clasped, rocking back and forth and staring plaintively at the heavens.

It's bizarre.

at the thought that we may elect a president without ever having him articulate a single, specific policy.

11. explain creepy..as opposed to trollish...as your response is....
I gave you my gut reaction upon hearing Obama's victory in Iowa. Despite my first choice being DK. So you tell me how my post is creeepy when our nation has already seen too many progressive leaders assasinated and corporatist, military loonies take over.

Tell me what happened in Pakistan was not decided upon by the "powers that be".

Creepy.....if any post is creepy it is yours.

When I saw him speak at the national convention some years back I was taken aback by his charismatic and confident manner. I have to go with my gut feeling and say...yeah...he is genuine.

I listened to a number of badly done country songs, all using the N word in various derogatory forms. This came from Howard Stern, one of the few people reminding the rest of us exactly how racist the country still is.

I have a feeling that these backwoods boys, all of them Klansters, will be writing a new CD full of songs about Obama. The proceeds of which will buy high powered rifles with starlight telescopic sights.

While the Iowa vote can make a lot of people feel happy about how tolerant and fair-minded they are, the assassination attempts (and God, may they please only be attempts) will drive home that racism and insane hatred is still alive, well and thriving in America.

26. We all wept - for the gullibility of the American voter
and what it could portend for this country.

We got George W Bush from the same type of mindless identification of people who base their votes on superficial talk.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the results and thrilled with the number of Dems who turned out. The young people are back. Dems outnumbered Rethugs by more than 2-1. November is ours.
