2. Considering Obama won the female vote
Oprah might have made a decent difference.

Pay for the buses. That's what I am referring to.

13. Oh... sorry. It doesn't seem like something she would do, since
just giving him publicity and publicly supporting him would be enough for her, given that a lot of people listen to what she says. I think if she did pay for them, she would probably disclose that.

15. I am not saying it is true--I read it here, actually, a while back when people were
going back and forth about the college kids caucusing. I don't recall if it was floated as a fact, a supposition, or an idea, to be frank...

16. Well, she could certainly afford it without batting an eye, but
I end up watching Oprah frequently because I take care of my 89 year old mother and she watches Oprah a lot. From what I can tell, if she paid for it, she would be open about it. But who am I to say for sure. But I think her simply mentioning him as her choice, and appearing at his rallies is doing a lot for him, since huge numbers of people listen to everything she says.

19. Yep.
I saw something about it here awhile back, and then, nothing further. I know there was some sort of concerted organization to get the college students back to IA, but I didn't follow the particulars.

6. No
Celebrity endorsements are nice for exposure but I really don't believe they have any weight in getting actual votes for a candidate.

10. I don't think so . . .
I also think Barack won it on his own merit. That's my gut instinct, anyway.

17. I was just thinking about Oprah as I saw your post.

I was wondering how many Iowans were subconsciously voting for Oprah instead of Obama.

We'll see how he does. This is only the first step in a long journey.
