Sorry for the caps.

Me? I'm really hoping Edwards wins the Nomination. While we don't agree on everything 100%, I believe that he is the one candidate who really has roots in what we might call the average American. His distancing himself from special interest monies and the way he was raised. He is, IMHO, the first viable candidate we have had in years that has a clue as to what the working class is really about.

He is also a candidate that I can really feel has a good heart with the best interests of the country running far ahead of what is best for the corporate world.

Go, John!

3. Although I will support whomever wins the nomination,
Some through less clinched teeth than others, I agrre with you completely. I feel that Edwards would be of benefit to the poulace at large rather than the few.

is as if not more important than America.

6. Very important point you make there
If we are to survive as a planet, we have to realize the importance of every place on earth.

BTW, who is your candidate?

5. I hope Kucinich wins
His Strength Through Peace approach to foreign policy is a sane way to deal with other nations.

His Green WPA plan would help us create a sustainable green infrastructure while, at the same time, giving jobs to Americans

His health care plan is the most comprehensive, and the only one to take the for-profit insurance companies out of the picture.

8. Kucinich is a great man. And I believe also has the best intentions
for America and Americans. Although I'm as left as left can get, I'm putting my ducks with Edwards in hopes of my perceived ability of his to bring in more middle-of-the-roaders than the other top candidates.

Issue by issue, though, Dennis is more like me than not. He's one that would take no gnashing of teeth to support in the GE.

20. And thank YOU for keeping this thread positive
When I went to My DU and saw I had an answer to my post, my heart sank, because I feared something snarky. Then I remembered what your OP said and knew I could read your post without having my blood pressure rise. A very pleasant change from the attacks which break out so frequently here.

9. Why I want a Clinton victory
I genuinely do think that she's an utterly humorless ballbuster, but I'm pretty sure that she's exactly what the country needs right now. One fair-minded kick to the nutsack. That's what this country's economy needs. That's what this country's social landscape needs. Sure she's a lot more conservative than some--bordering on a Rockefeller Republican--but no one has so far been able to convince me that fiscal responsibility and a hands off approach to social issues isn't exactly what this nation needs.

Sure she might not usher in the socialist paradise I'd like to see, but I'm pretty sure that she'd be able to get her agenda done. Go ahead and kick, Hill, my nuts are at the ready.

14. John Edwards because I feel certain he will fight for middle
class and poor Americans and because I believe he will reform government to make it transparent and responsive to the people of our great country. I believe that John Edwards will bring our country into the 21st century. He will use tax money to support the development of environmentally friendly energy sources, improve education, make college and graduate school accessible to all who have the ability to maintain their grades, completely change our relationship with the rest of the world for the better, restore America's respect in the world by entering into meaningful dialogue with leaders committed to democracy all over the world, restore our constitutional rights, take care that the laws are enforced, be free and independent of corporate money, treat business and employees fairly insofar as he has the authority to do so, cause health care reform to be accomplished, secure our pensions, regulate corporate America in terms of workers safety and rights, environmental protection, honest accounting procedures. I could go on and on. I have studied Edwards' website pretty carefully. He is going to make a great president. He will rank in the class of Madison, Lincoln and the two Roosevelts.

15. I wish there were more posts... I am still more of an observer...
in part because I can not vote until May and I have grown weary of being all 'invested' in a candidate and having them be long out of the race before I can vote. I would love to read the 'support' statements *without* the candidate-supporter sniping at other candidates or each other. I will say that I really like Dodd's strong stands on constitutional issues - but he is a lower tier candidate and doesn't appear to have a chance. Thus - I am wide open for persuasion.

16. For me, Dodd would be a natural as well.
I might suggest going to the DU home page and visiting each candidates home pages listed there for perusal.

It helped me quite a bit in my decision.

The media sem to have narrowed it down to a three way race for us, but I'm still for pissing in the face of the media. :)
