So basically Obama says Republican's will vote for him....
Because he's not "controversial" or "divisive."

I know this sounds crazy, but, last time I checked. Obama is an African American. Also, last I checked, Republicans don't like black people. I mean, since Obama is gonna toss out attacks twice daily, just thought someone around here should point that out.

4. C-SPAN callers on the Repub line after the Biden Town Hall
meeting in Indianola, Iowa were voting for Joe Biden. They like his ability to compromise and his knowledge on foreign affairs. Don't mean to hijack this thread, just pointing out that Republicans are looking at Biden because they like what he had to say...

5. Here's something to think about:
I read your post and thought "What the hell, I'm gonna take a walk over to FreepTown and see what they're saying about Obama."

Now, I know people get really pissed off when F.R. stuff is posted here, especially with links, so I'm going to share a comment that was posted in on F.R. response to the SAME "Obama: Gore, Kerry Alienated "Half the Country" story that I posed on DU earlier today:

To: zendari

Someone tell Barack that it’s about the issues. The divide is real and not about to go away.

Now, I know that many of the Freeps are batshit crazy.

BUT...I am in 100% agreement with this particular Freep.

The giant pissing contest Obama has participated in with Hillary and Edwards is a major turn-off to me. His wife's assertion that "Black Americans will wake up and get it" is insulting.

I've heard more about what's wrong with Hillary and Edwards than I have about what Obama actually plans to do if he wins. He's got 8 years of George W. Bush to contend with. As Freep "RKV" said, "the divide is real and not about to go away," and Obama has most certainly done his part to keep the divide in place, if not make it LARGER.

6. In every poll I have seen, "National Security" is by far and away
the top (R) issue where it languishes about 5th or 6th in ours.

(R)s aren't seeing the same need for change -- at least not to the degree we are demanding it.

If anything, I would think that they would go for Biden. Hillary can't draw them because there is too much history there. Biden is enough corporate (big banks) and a master of foreign affairs.

8. I think there are plenty of Repubs that don't have a problem....
with black people. However, they do have a problem with the party they perceive to be a threat to their own economic prosperity. (Ya know, the old "Tax and Spend" propaganda.)

Obama has a point, in that he is perceived as a young, fresh face that isn't carrying the baggage of all the things moderate Repubs love to hate.

(BTW, Obama is not my candidate of choice.)

In my opinion, they want him to be the nominee, but not for the reasons he thinks.
