| How many different ways has Cheney and Bush escaped criticism? |
|
I'm counting the number of ways that this team has manipulated data, and I can't believe that the clear pattern hasn't raised more red flags before now:
(1) They paid pundits to push the right-wing agenda. i.e. Armstrong.
(2) They closed libraries down in the EPA and laboratories in the FDA so now it's difficult to find information that might counter their polices.
(3) They're paying scientists to write studies arguing against global warming.
(4) They've gagged FBI translators who would reveal their conspiracies.
(5) They've outed a CIA agent to intimidate and discredit her husband, Joe Wilson -- who we all now know had evidence that contradicted the Bush Administration's call for War against Iraq.
(6) They demonized anyone who criticized them, calling them unpatriotic -- the worst case being the Dixie Chicks.
(7) Now Cheney is running away for a week to foreign lands to avoid the backlash of the Libby case, and the obvious questions that American journalists will want to ask.
(8) They've appointed cronies to the heads of all the Executive agencies so any information that contradicts the president's positions will be buried.
(9) They removed Federal prosectors, most who were investigating public corruption cases, and once removed, those prosecutors were suppose to be replaced with cronies who would probably block or kill those investigations.
(10) They've used illegal wiretapping in ways that we can only imagine.
(11) With the help of a Republican Congress, they stifled or corrupted investigations.
How can an Administration do all these things, and still maintain any shred of credibility among any American?

| 3. We are definitely in the midst of some intense evil. |
|
But this level cannot be reached if we don't have endemic corruption in our society. Too many people drank the Kool-Aid and sold their souls.
