Spotted Owl: The NewsHour had a special report on the Bush Admin's

attempt to politicize the science (biology) regarding the spotted owl situation and logging, saying protections from logging wasn't helping. The Bard owl has invaded the spotted owl's space and prevented them from making a bigger comeback. The (Interior?)dept says that the spotted owl would be much worse off if they hadn't placed it on the endangered species list. The administration is trying to direct the recommendations from the dept. saying that biology shouldn't make the policy, only provide guidance.
