trying to jump in at the exact minute that a new school is built.

Then we'll see the two children going into the school room and being welcomed by Condi who will be on a "surprise visit."

Then they will let GW speak from his bunker in DC and show us a mock up of OBL on a silver platter.

2. This weekend they were claiming that it was

I watched a lot of local news this weekend to keep up on our iffy weather. They kept dropping tidbits about how great the surge was working, how car bombings have stopped, how crime is down, how Iraqis are happy--they stopped just short of describing flower throwing. Then, of course, there was a bombing and they stopped talking about it.

I've noticed that talking points like "the surge is working" often appear first in the local news--as if they're trying them out there to see if they fly.

6. I noticed that in Atlanta too.

A short snip on each newscast mentioning how great things are going in Baghdad all of a sudden mixed in with clips of Bush talking about his surge. They inferred a direct connection but didn't actually say that.

ABC news did the same thing on their Sunday worldnews.

3. The surge has not begun.

Whatever's going on in Baghdad right now appears to be a change in tactics, using the forces already in place. I have no doubt that Petraeus will achieve more than his lackluster predecessor, only because it wouldn't actually be possible to fuck things up as bad as Casey.

5. In a few months Busholini will exclaim that the Surge

is a Grand Success. He will smirk and gloat. The US Corp Media will go along with this, as usual.
