Latest Safe Pet Food List?
Does anyone have the latest "safe" pet food list (i.e., not from China)? We need to find something more reasonably priced than what we've been feeding the past several months.

Please don't hit me with the "make your own" admonitions. We have 4 dogs and 11 cats. It's just not feasible, other than the microwaved frozen veges I add to the pupsters'.

thanks

1. Check your portions before you switch...
There are many premium/holistic brands that recommend lower portions (less filler), and end up being comparable in price to the mass-market brands.

2. Go to
www.sitstay.com

We get everything for our dogs from them. It's all organic, no fillers. We get Instinct and even though we have small dogs (Doxies), just a small amount (1/2 cup per day) fills them up.

3. I'm not sure what the latest is
But after the melamine incident earlier this year, I just stopped buying anything with wheat gluten in it. Purina was listed in the "safe" column, so I buy Purina products that don't list wheat gluten in the ingredients.

I tried more expensive (healthier) brands and my cats just wouldn't eat it.

4. I switched to Purina. Doing well.
